The concept of the Dakini differs, depending on the context and tradition. Dakini’s occur most notably in Tibetan Buddhism but also in Vajrayana Buddhism and Hinduism and Bon.

Dakinis are energetic beings in female form, evocative of the movement of energy in space. In this work the Dakini is in the sky and space – sunyata – representative of the void and emptiness necessary for a true meditative state.

The Dakini offers wisdom and protection, often protecting the integrity of all people speak.
